(granted you might have to do some work on teh shortest route, not just accept that the work will be done for you)

I would take it so long as it didnt contridict my morals or beliefs.

assuming you are offering salvation for to suit my own circumstances/ beliefs/ moral then yes is always going to be the answer.

If the work towards the shortest route to salvation would have the same significance and weight as taking the work towards longer route..then surely i'd take the former.

Otherwise, if they don't equate with each other, then I wouldn't mind taking the long route to salvation, so that I could mesmerize every single bit of the struggle that I have to go through, enjoy the pleasure of looking back at them and how I won over the challenges, and savor the feeling of being fearless taking on the longer path towards salvation.

The shortest route to salvation may serve you, but will it serve others in a healthy, positive way? That's what part of the long road to salvation is all about... learning how to love, how to demonstrate love, and how to recognize it when it is demonstrated to you. It's not how fast you live your life, it's about gathering all the experiences and opportunities into a final culmination of who you were, and presenting it to whomever or whatever you deem as your afterlife benefactor. I know that throughout my life, many people have touched me and by statistical law, I've touched others' lives in a good way as well. The short road is just an easy way out and where it leads isn't necessarily as pretty as it was painted to be - like a McDonald's Big Mac.

I've been offered the shortest route to salvation many times! Or at least that's what the nice people keep telling me...

I'd rather figure it out myself because I have reason not to trust people to always know what they're talking about. Being formerly best friends with a Scientologist will do that.

What do you mean by salvation? Salvation from what? but if it comes to roads i think i would take a long road a lot more things to see and do. A short road ends quickly and you wouldn't really get much out of it. Like amusement park rides you wait a long time for the ride but is it worth it?The ride will only take a few minutes. I'm confused. Salvation from what? I don't feel like i need to be saved from anything.
