and seattle had a down yr when they played sf., sandiego started playin good when they beat the bengals by coming back 35 points so both backs dont count in my arguement.

also take a look at that receiver the saints got, hes the heart of their offense, bush averages 10 carries, 5 catches and he never gets more than 50 yrds in both categories...

I believe it is way to early to determine whether or not somebody is a bust. And to answer your second question, Kevin Jones and Frank Gore do not run all over san Fran.

Shaun Alexander, 37 yrds
LT had 71 yards
are you saying that they are more of a bust?
Reggie Bush was a great pick, especially at #2 overall of the draft pick. its hard to say if he's a bust or not yet. i wouldn't say he's a great RB yet, but as a player he's really good
Shaun Alexander ran for 200+ yards the next game so you cant say Seattle was on a down yr. in which it does count to your argument
and by your logic too the LT should have done great because SD just came off of a big win too, in which he was in the climbing point of the season as you will put it. so thus counts twords your argument even more

I'm gonna look at this from a fantasy perspective, esp since I drafted Reggie...
and dropped him because this season he's been mostly mediocre. Yes he's catching and running for yards, but scoring was meager... what, only 2 or 3 scores amongst the previous weeks? He remained on the waiver wire until just this week (yes, because of that game).
I'm facing the guy that picked him up in my game this weekend, and I'm not too worried about a repeat performance. Good point on the SF D. Also, if Colston comes back, that will reduce Reggie's role in the passing game. They'll also be facing a better D.
I wouldn't say he's a total bust, but to wait 13 weeks before a flash of brilliance that everyone has been waiting for... he'll need to rack up some more games with TDs before I'd bank on him.

Bush sucks...rightttttttt. He doesn't get a lot of carries and look what he does. And how is a rookie RB a bust when he's 2nd in the NFL in catches with 73 and almost all his catches are at the line of scrimmage so they're like runs. Their number receiver in yards is Marcus Colston and he's been hurt for the last two games and the Saints still won both games.

Definitely not a bust. You've got to be kidding me, anyone who scores 4 TD's in one game in their rookie year should be applauded. Great backs run for 1000 yards their first year? That's moronic. Walter Payton didn't have 1000 his first year, neither did Marcus Allen or Thurman Thomas for that matter. Bush is never going to be a workhorse, he's not big enough to run effectively between the tackles in the nfl, but that doesn't make him a bad player, not by a longshot. For what he is, which is a Marcus Allen type all around back, he is phenomenal.

One thing you proved is that you dont' know football. He has 73 receptions which is #2 in the NFL.
He has 5 TD's and many defense actually have special plays just for him, which has opened up the TE and WR position.
Bush is a super stud and the future is mega bright for him.
You must be a fantasy geek in a scoring league. Get a clue and get some knowledge.

You've GOTTA be kidding me ... you're a troll, looking for compliments for Reggie, right? (Kinda like someone who says, "I'm ugly" so; everyone will rush in telling them how it ain't so! Yeah?)
Okay, I'll indulge you.
(But first go back and read what Ice444 said.) Were it not for Drew Brees and Reggie Bush, the Saints would be the Ain'ts as in years past. Reggie Bush breathed new life into this team and they are only getting better because of him.
Shut YO mouth schoolboy!!!!

Bush has 1098 total yards this season with 5 touchdowns. 12 games into the season. Hardly seems like a bust to me.

i like the mans drive, but it sickens me when i hear people sayin he wil be the best RB ever, hes more like marshall fualk, which is a great RB to be compared to but, hes certianlly no ton the level of payton. brown, smith, sanders, sayers
and the fact that the first highlights i see of him doin great, since liek week 1, come from a game against the 49s, im sorry, its just not worth gettin excited over, i certainlly wouldnt call him a bust, no where near it, but hes not the god of RB's everone trys to make him out to be
for the people below me, 368 on the ground, 30 yards a game on average, again, good player, not a bust by a long shot, but not the godly RB everone includin himself thinks he is
