THE weather bureau on Saturday raised public storm warning signal no. 1 over Isabela, Cagayan, and the Calayan and Batanes groups of islands.
In a weather update on its website, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, Astronomical Services Administration said that as of 4:45 p.m. today, Typhoon Glenda (international name Kaemi) has slowed down but continues to threaten the Batanes group of islands.
“This disturbance is expected to enhance the southwest monsoon which may bring moderate to heavy rains with occasional gusty winds over the western sections of Luzon and Visayas. Residents along the coastal areas under public storm warning signal 1 are advised to seek higher grounds due to big waves that will be generated by Typhoon Glenda,” the weather bureau said.
It said the typhoon, whose center is some 690 kilometers east southeast of Tuguegarao City, has maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph. It is moving west northwest at 15 kph and is forecast to be some 450 kilometers southeast of Basco, Batanes by Sunday afternoon.

the hardest hit/ affected by the typhoon is the bicol region. Especially the province of albay, marinduque, and Legaspi. It also affected the provinces of Mindoro and Batangas but not as hard as the bicol region.

The most damaged or devastated region was that of Bicol... looks like a ghost town now... much like what Pampanga looked like after the Pinatubo erupted and lahar swept the lands.
