Does it go to your recycle bin?
I ran antivirus and didn't dump mu recycle bin.
Then I ran antivirus again.
I used Avast twice and it came up with stuff.
I then dumped my trash.
Then I ran AVG.
Y'all say AVG is better than Avast! so what is the deal?
Is the recycle bin thing the reason I had to do it all again?

Also...what's your fav antivirus and where can someone get it?
What about ad ware, spyware, anti-spam? What programs do you like?

For the 1st question, the stuff that gets deleted from antivirus is permanently removed from the PC. They do not go to the recycle bin. In the case of yours, it shows that AVG might be better than Avast. I've never tried them but I've tried many others. My fav antivirus software its Norton antivirus which is the one that I'm using now as it handles all the ad ware,spyware,anti-spams and e.t.c.One software does it all. You could get the trial versions in www.download.com or www.softpedia.com

No! all harmfull or leaked stuff permanently deletes, and Viruses, spywares, and other killer like program goes to Quarantine of the Antivirus Program. They resides on the system but in locked mode. so they can't do anything. u don't need to clean the Trash, there will nothing.. Avast is best for Home and Free users, but Norton 2007 is best looking in terms of cleaning and SPEED also.. Go for it.

If those files are "quarantined", then those are still in ur computer but stored in a safe way so that they do not infect anything else. You can view them through your antivirus's quarantine section. But if Antivirus has deleted them, then they are permanently deleted from your computer!

The hard-drive of your pc,Overwrites the computer virus communicating code, with a (unreadable/undamagablel)new code,ie:someone telling u to do something in your language or telling you to do it in japanese,(unrecognisable)therefore non-productive,through the anti-software installed on your pc.
