Ponds, I've used it for over 30 years. It melts the makeup and you can easily remove all traces with a soft Kleenex tissue; plus it is only about 7 dollars. I love it! Rub upwards gently around the eyes first; then downwards under the eyes. Keep eyes shut, rinse with warm water and dry with towel making sure you get all product off the lashes. Practice a while until you get perfect; you will have no product in eyes.

Any sort of cream makeup remover, I don't like makeup removing pad's because they are SO greasy, and give me horrible zits, no matter how much I cleanse afterwards. Close whatever eye youre working on, and keep the other open to see how much progress youre making. Wet a washcloth with hot water, then squeeze a little bit onto the wet part. Begin to dab your eye and then rub gently DOWNWARD (while still keeping it CLOSED!) you'll see the makeup literally melt off, keep rubbing until your eyelashes look relitively clean. Then, open the eye up, add a little more remover to your cloth, kind of wrap it around your finger to gently swipe over your bottom lid to get rid of all that black you smudged off from the top. After all that, wipe the entire eye with plain warm water on the cloth, and wa-lah! you're ready to move to your next eye...

Lancome's BiFacil Eye Makeup Remover is really good. If you really want to stay away from liquids, makeup remover wipes might be a good option. MAC makes some, as well as a number of drugstore lines.
