It's a toss up between two.
Last year my partner and I were travelling around Asia, and our best friends came over to meet us in Vietnam. We went to Da Lat in the mountains, sang karaoke (for the first time, and very badly), played pool and drank cocktails at a little out-of-the-way bar, and made heaps of amazing friends from all around the world. Such a good night.
The other one was about 5 years ago when my partner and I had broken up. I went to a hippy festival called Confest with a few friends. We put up tents and went to new age workshops, I volunteered my time in the massage and art tents, and for NYE there was a huge bonfire with people drumming, fire twirlers, belly dancers etc and quite a few naked people dancing around it. Just before midnight I lost my friends! I was a bit dismayed until I realised I should just be in the moment and enjoy. So, I danced, and a sweet stranger came up and gave me a massage and a hug. Such an empowering, beautiful night.

I spent NYE 1999/2000 on the beach on the west coast of Mexico, watching the sun set for the last time of the millenium and enjoying fine quality tequila, then dancing till dawn.

A few years ago my wife and I spent the night on the John Cadman sailing boat in Sydney Harbour. The food was beautiful, the fireworks were spectacular, the scenery was unbelievable and we had a ball...
