Download this free program called CCleaner which will get rid of the toolbar and browser history.

Updated: If you delete the history, the address bar will not remember where you have visited. Therefore, it will not autocomplete addresses that you have visited.

You forgot to mention which browser. I'm assuming Internet Explorer.

Go to Tools > Internet Options > General > Clear History. Then, go to Content > Autocomplete and Clear Form. That should do it for Internet Explorer. This will not work with Firefox.

If that doesn't work, then the next spot will be the Registry. Go to Start > Run. Type in "regedit". Go to the following address and delete the entries at this location.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

For IE (Internet Explorer) go to Tools->Internet Options and click Clear History button from History section. It will clear the history of visited web sites. But some temporary files still exist on disk as a cache, so to clear the cache click Delete Files button from Temporary Internet files section.

If you want to clear some auto completing form fields, go to Tools->Internet Options, select Content tab and click AutoComplete button from Personal information section. A new window will be opened, so you can use Clear forms and Clear Passwords buttons in order to clear auto completing cache.

For Firefox go to Tools->Options, select Privacy tab then you will see Clear Now button from Private Data section.
