I'm pleased to see that this one is still making the rounds!
I was first hit with this about 10 years ago, and was completely perplexed. The answer should have been obvious, but alas I failed.
It was first presented to me as follows:
"There are three words in the English language that end with 'gry'. The first is 'angry', the second is 'hungry', what is the third?"
I tried and tried, but did not come up with the third: "gry"
:)

its hungry angry and language
the question goes as follows... or something to that effect....
there are 3 words in 'the english language' that end in -gry. the first 2 are hungry and angry... what is the the third word?
it is much better when you speak it, rather than type it... cuz then the quotations kinda give it away.

*yawns* Wow, this took me back. It really is a word puzzle that should be spoken rather than typed. Otherwise, it is just too misleading to be fun.

Hungry
angry
(And there are arguments here. Some say anhungry, others say puggry, but that is an alternate spelling)
