alot of lizards loose their appitites and get cranky when theyre going to shed but not all, my glass lizard usually has a reduced appitite but will eat some and gets pissy when i try and hold her. as long as your dragon doesnt start loosing weight dont worry about it for another few days or so, if he continues not eating call a reptile vet

The main thing I noticed that affects a water dragon's appetite is the season of the year. In the winter they eat much less, maybe half as much as in summer. They have a "third eye" on top of the head. This senses the amount of daylight, and tells them when it is winter and when it is summer. I had water dragons for 10 years.

Yes. all reptilians will. it is odd, but as long as they are healthy they will not lose much wieght and be OK. but, dont worry if they dont eat normally for about a week after his shedding. that is also normal.

Mine have that same habit and seem to do that I have had other reptiles that do the same thing but it is common nothing to stress over but still offer them food and if they don't eat it than they don' eat it but then you atleast knowthey aren't hungry.
