There was a movie called Godzilla vs the Destroyer in which Godzilla suffered a nuclear meltdown and died at the end. But Godzuki was growing up and looking very much like Godzilla. There have been later movies so who knows if they just ignore this movie or if its really a grown up Godzuki.

end of what series?
the end of the final move (godzilla: finl wars) he leaves deciding to spare the broken world of humanity (broken by aliens of course)
end of the darker continuous series (G vs Destroyah) the adult godzilla melts down, but the world is saved because godzilla jr. absorbs the radiation and mutates to an adult godzilla.
original series (godzilla as a "goodguy" protecting man) really had no end that I know of
