:) my cramping started around the same time. i was told by my doc that it is the uterus stretching.... BUT, it's always best to ask your doctor. do you know if the placenta is on the right side?
oh, by the time i was at 17 weeks my pelvic bone started to ache badly ( i started doing the waddle thing) and an ultrasound was done to make certain that my cervix was closed and THAT is when they found out that my baby is already in a head-down position with his head next to my cervix... MYSTERY SOLVED... the doctor said it's nothing to worry about!
i just wanted you to know there are a LOT of odd pains that go along with pregnancy

yep. Something there (can't remember what it's called) is just getting stretched to accomodate the enlarging uterus.
I cramped during both my pregnancys. The first one more severe then the second.
See a doctor anyway, just to make sure. Have you had your ultrasound yet? If you have, and everything was normal, then it should be ok.
If you have'nt had an ultrasound yet, see your dr about getting it done. It will give you an accurate delivery date, and let you know exactly how far along in the pregnancy you are. It will also make sure it is not an ectopic pregnancy causing you discomfort.
Good luck and all the best.

Cramping is usually pretty normal. If you begin to spot or bleed, go straight to the hospital. That would be signs of a miscarriage. I was about 10 weeks pregnant and just went to the bathroom and there was alot of blood. I went to the hospital and they told me to stay in bed with my feet up and hope for the best. After 2 weeks in bed, my baby made it and she is now almost 5 years old. Your body is trying to adjust to this new little one in there and you are liable to cramp all the way through this awesome experience but don't freak out everytime you are worried about something. Stay calm and if it worries you, call your doctor.
Good luck!

I'm pretty sure it is normal, but it can also be serious. If there is bleeding then imediately lie down and call your caretaker. I had cramping and spotting at six weeks and almost lost my baby, but I didn't. Just take it easy and don't worry unless there is blood. Otherwise it could just be your muscles learning to adjust to your growing uterus. Many people say that it feels like they are going to start their period early in their pregnancy so don't worry. Just relax and don't do anything straining for a while.

Im not 100% sure but perhaps it is your uterus stretching and making room for your new baby..If this bothers you, you may want to speak with your doctor about your concerns..I would assume that your not spotting so everything may be just fine..
Good Luck to you!
