Does rap music encourage education or denigrate education? Are there examples of rap lyrics that either encourage or denigrate education?

lots of rappers are educated but most of them don't "promote" education because decent education is simply not even available to the most of the people who listen to their music. Why promote something that doesn't exist?

2pac once said, "What good is the gift of education if you don't put it to good use?"
i believe that this quote means that the people who do get an education need to put it to better use. its referring to inner city kids who simply dont care in high school.
of course, not all rappers are going to have the same opinion. but unfortuantly, it would seem like the majority woudnt promote getting an education.
that aside, rap is my favorite genre. the beats and flow of a good rap gets your adreniline pumped. but thats a different matter.

Rappers seem to hate school, especially high school. Many of them were harassed by fellow students and received poor grades in their studies. Many rappers (such as Eminem) sing about kids that used to pick on them in school.
I've heard rap songs that talk about the rapper being "too cool for school".
Most rappers are street smart (or at least pretend to be) but most of them lack high school education.
Rappers use horrible grammar.
