My daughter just turned 3 months old November 30th. She has been leaning her head to the right side for about four days. I have read on all of the different conditions that could possibly be. But the thing is when I try to move her head to the left side she does not get upset. I was thinking at first that maybe it was just a crick in her neck but it does not appear to be painful for her. It is always on the right unless she is laying on the left. She sleeps on her left side. (Supported with a wedge positioner) I do not understand this new behavior and am wondering if it is something I should be concerned about. She is not fussier than normal and does not appear to be uncomferterable. Maybe just a new-found favorite position? Any advice is greatly appreciated

It may be the position...but a trip to the doctor is in order. There are so many possiblilties here that you will want a medical proffesional to give her a once over. Good Luck

Yeah, you should definetly take her to the doctor. That is the only way you will be certain of anything. You can also try alternating the side she sleeps on from left to right instead of having her just sleeping on the left side of her body. Good luck with that baby!!!

it is always best to consult your doctor, but my first did this too. it is b/c she favors the other side when she sleeps. lay her on the other side as much as you can. after a while of doing this and it seems to be getting better, rotate from side to side to keep her from getting it back! mine is now 8 1/2 and fine. it took about 3 weeks to go back to normal, so don't panic. hope i helped ease your mind! :)

It could be that she is learning to balance her head and that is the way her tequinique is. My sister and brother did that too! Don't worry I'm sure it's nothing but absolutely if you have that mommy gut feeling call a doctor!!

It may be congenital torticollis. Certain muscle groups may become tight and will cause this apparent 'side sway' of the head.
