Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.

I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.

You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.

The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving and merciful God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -

There's a couple different ways to answer:

On the one hand, there really is no meaning to life per se -- life is merely a consequence of nature. And it is the nature of life forms to simply try to reproduce.

On the other hand, you might mean to ask what is a meaningful life for a human today. Well, nearly all humans want to enjoy their life and be happy. Therefore the meaning of life can be to make happiness.

Happiness can sometimes sounds flippant, but it should not be underestimated. Nearly all respectable philosophers have placed a high value on happiness. And don't be quick to say that happiness would just mean everyone kills each other to get what they want. That really wouldn't make anyone happy. Justice, peace, comfort, freedom... these are the things that make people happy.

This is an urgent question and I frankly wish that more people would be haunted by it.

God made us "to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him for ever in heaven."

That is the purpose and meaning of life. Otherwise, I don't see any reason to live life. If this is all a cosmic accident, and there is no final end or purpose, then nothing we do (good or evil; loving, crying, laughing, sacrificing, toiling, working, giving, etc.) matters ultimately or objectively.

As St. Augustine said, "You have made us for Yourself, [O Lord,] and our hearts are restless until they rest in You." Human being are incomplete, and all of us, at the very core of our being, are trying to fill that which is lacking in us. As Pope John Paul II said, "Jesus Christ is the answer to the question that is every human person."

There is much, much more to say. Dig deeper into these matters! It may very well be that your eternal life depends on it. You need only "ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you."

Meaning of life? For many people, it will have one meaning, and for other people it would have another meaning... Like for one person, his work means absolutely everything to him, and for another person, his family is the meaning of his life, but I would say... Its wisdom, happiness, peace and love... Everyone wants to understand life, and you can only understand life through wisdom, everyone want peace I'm not talking about a war necessarily, Im talking about peace in your life, and in your heart. And most of all, everyone wants love, without that in your life, you are absolutely nothing!!! I'm talking about true love here, not some kind of a fling... If you have love, you are happy, you feel that you are accepted by someone, you have peace... and you feel that your life is completed!!!! So find yourself some love my friend... But do be carefull, not to get hurt please!

Since existence precedes essence, man must create himself, to be he who he wants to become.

Other wise, those who seek meaning will eventually fail since there is no such meaning in the universe, at least for humans. That is an absurdist credo basically.

This one question "meaning of Life" is the most asked question on the Internet. Why?

Every Human Being wants to know and understand the Philosophy behind the meaning of Life! Why are we here... what is the purpose of our living on Mother Earth... what is the real meaning of Life? The queries are numerous... there has got to be a justification for our living. What is the basis of existence of Life on planet Earth?

Before we indulge into knowing "the meaning of Life" we need to understand Life itself. How do we differentiate between a mortal (living being) and an immobile material (having no Life within)? For this we need to start from the beginning of the Cosmos itself... The time of the big bang!

At the time of the big bang when God, the Almighty Creator which is but the size of half a thumb explodes itself... all Atmans (Souls) get scattered all over the cosmos and in doing this they lose their pristine purity and as a ball coated with honey gathers dust while rolling... these Atmans (Souls) also get impregnated with impurities. This is the fundamental cause of Life... if these Atmans (Souls) had remained pure all the time... the need for Life in whole of the cosmos would not have arisen.

These Atmans (Souls) in their cosmic journey now need a body so that they can purify themselves and come back to their original pristine form. These Atmans (Souls) do not have the power to purify themselves without the aid of any external body. They need a body to work out its Karma and in the process the dross within the Atman soul shall get removed.

Let me explain this further but before that I need to explain the definition of God.

At the time of pralaya as we call it in Hinduism (the time of complete dissolution of the cosmos)... the total cosmos which consists of many universes dissolves back into its original pristine form... this is the form we know as God, the Almighty Creator! The size of the whole cosmos at this moment of time is half the size of a thumb, which is nothing else, but the collection of all purified Atmans (Souls) in the cosmos.

For purifying themselves why do the Atmans (Souls) need a body? This feature can be explained further by the example of mining.

If I need to extract one KG of pure gold (say an individual purified Atman in its pristine pure form) from a lump of hundred KG of gold ore then I need to pass the lump of hundred KG of gold ore through the requisite mining process. It is absolutely clear that this one KG of pure gold can not on its own separate itself out from the hundred KG of gold ore without the help of an external medium... it needs requisite machinery to remove the 99 KG of dross within the ore.

Similarly, the unpurified Atman the soul within cannot on its own remove the dross within... it needs an external medium... a body in order to come back to its original pristine form. And in the process... this so-called impure Atman is required to manifest a body, which consists of a long chain of manifestations... a total of 8.4 Million manifestations and a Life cycle of 96.4 Million earthly years... a long journey indeed! Life is a wonderful gift from the creator of all that exists. It is our opportunity to experience love but also hate, joy but also sorrow, kindness but also selfishness, mercy but also injustice. You have important work to do during life and important choices to make concerning all of these experiences. Hopefully, you fulfill in your own way the flowering of your own spirit in your own unique way so that you may return to God as a spiritual being that is a wiser, kinder, more loving and in all other ways a closer representation of God who made us in his/her image.
