How do I add a link to a web page so that it will open up in a new window?

I can add a basic HTML hyperlink already but I can't remember what to add to it in order for the link to create a new window as well.

All you need to add is: target="_blank to your anchor tag.

example:

I think adding:
target="_new" into your tag, as per the example below would work also.
