Has anyone rebuilt one? How hard is it? Is it worth it? What would it cost? Thank you

I do all the work on all my cars. I havent had tranny troubles yet. I did the head gaskets on my thunderbird and its my daily driver. This is also the car that i may have to rebuild the transmission in. It is an automatic...

Auto transmission isn't that hard, but it is complex. And it requires quite a few special tools.
If you do it wrong, the tear-down is a killer.
Much better to leave it to the people who do it all the time; the pros.

i own a repair shop,and its not that bad of a job,,but then i have done a few of them before,,if you don't have the proper tools to do them with ,its not going to work right ,and all your money you spend on a kit is going to be wasted,,if the occasion ever comes up that you need it done,, id recommend you let a professional do it,,they will warranty it,,its a lot different than engine work,and a lot harder also,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.
