As far as I know, (I haven't read it, and really don't know much about Christ Code), but I believe it is fictional... And Dan Brown's work is based on MYTH hyped up, (myths to support other myths). There are a few historical truths, such-as, the Templar's being attacked on Friday the 13th, causing the superstition of the any Friday that is the 13th day of the month is bad luck. There was a religious sect called the Opus Die. To learn more may I suggest reading "Cracking The Da Vinci Code"... I read it before reading the Da Vinci Code.
As for where Mary is buried, I wouldn't go with either one of the books, in the slightest... Use well known sources such-as Discovery, T.L.C. ...

Catholics taught this, not Christians. It is almost universally agreed today that characterizations of her as a repentant prostitute are completely unfounded. However, Mary Magdalene has long been confused with other women also named Mary and some anonymous women whose stories were mistakenly fused into one sensual young sinner. This conflation merging several women into one composite has incorrectly linked the Magdalene with the unnamed sinner (commonly thought to have been a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50. Though St. Mary Magdalene is named in each of the four gospels in the New Testament, not once does it say that she was a prostitute or a sinner. Nothing in the New Testament even hints of her as a prostitute or a morally loose woman. Contemporary scholarship is said to have restored the understanding of Mary of Magdala as an important early Christian leader. Despite her centuries-old disreputable depiction in religion, art, literature, and in recent prominent fictional books and movies, such as The Da Vinci Code, it is largely agreed today that "not a shred of solid biblical or extrabiblical evidence suggests she played the role of harlot, wife, mother, or secret lover". Yet, for many centuries the Western (Catholic) church taught that St. Mary Magdalene was the person mentioned in the Gospels as being both Mary of Bethany and the "sinful woman" who anoints Jesus in Luke.[Lk 7:36–50] The notion of Mary Magdalene being a repentant prostitute has been prevalent over the centuries at least from Ephraim the Syrian in the fourth century, Pope Gregory the Great in the sixth century, and many artists, writers and Scripture commentators who followed their lead.

The Da Vinci's Code contains a lot of fallacies and is unreliable. Mary Magdalene probably died in Palestine and buried there.

As a Roman Catholic saint, Mary Magdalene's relics were venerated at Saint Maximin la Sainte Baume, Provence, and attracted such throngs of pilgrims that the great Basilica was erected there from the mid thirteenth century, one of the finest Gothic churches in the south of France. Though her bones were scattered at the French Revolution, her head is said to remain in her shrine in a cave at La Sainte-Baume near Marseille, although another medieval tradition holds that she died in Ephesus and was buried in Constantinople.

It's more probable that she is buried in the French Riviera where the Magdalene town is.

Dan Brown's book was filled to the brim with historical errors, I wouldn't trust anything he has written on matters of history. The guy is a crack pot.
