My best guess would be 2012. This is the end of the age according to the Mayan calendar. It would also be 5 years from the earthquake that was felt around the world, the one which caused the terrible tsunammi and changed our axis alignment a bit. Also it would be at the end of the same generation that saw the creation of the nation in a day, Israel. The Bible says that the same generation that saw the creation of the nation in one day would see its end and most of that generation is very old now. Also it is within 5 years of when Israel made a pact with their enemies to give up their land, effectively giving away what God has given them.
As to whether I really believe the world WILL end then- no not really. We have said the sky is falling many times and it has not. It did not end in 1999 or 2000 when many thought it would so it probably will not then either. It might go on for thousands of years, or we might all die tommorrow.

Well, since the Chinese military has recently hit record numbers and can fulfill biblical prophesies for the first time ever, I bet we could see it in our lifetime.
All it would take is one nuclear war and it could just about completely wipe human civilization off the map. This has happened in the past (about 535 AD), but it was a natural disaster, like a volcano, a comet strike or a large astroid. People did not see the sun (except through a dark haze for about four hours a day) for eighteen months.
On the other hand, if we got rid of nuclear weapons, it would be asking for someone to invade our borders and take over, and we would be completely unable to defend ourselves, so that definitely isn't the answer. It is unrealistic to assume that everyone would get rid of them.
I don't think that the Mayans are correct, because they don't believe in the end. For them, it was a cycle.. the end and a new beginninig.
I would say 2050, but that is just a wild guess.

Humanity will end in about 20 years (2027), and here's why:
In 2008, a new president will be elected. Regardless of who it is, the American people will be looking for a change. If a left-leaning candidate wins and eases up on terrorism, attacks will escalate, finger-pointing will rise, and war may break out.
If a right-leaning candidate wins, it's a good chance that a crack down even more harsh than the Patriot Act will be enacted, and America may even pull out of the UN, if we're attacked again.
Either way, international politics will be in disarray after 2008. Why 20 years? Just cus. And maybe it won't be the end of humanity, but it's going to be one hell of a ride for the next few decades.
IMHO (in my humble opinion)

Don't know. I would be falsely predicting if I picked a year from the air. Only the Father in Heaven knows this answer. When I die my world will end. I don't even know how or when that will happen, thankfully.

I don't think the world can end. The human race may go extinct, but the world won't end. In the grand cosmic scheme of things, what's one more extinct species? The beat goes on.

Well, some of us Christians believe in the Bible, which says that the Son Himself doesn't know the day nor the hour...
Just good to be ready.
