Anal sex is normal and can be a lot of fun for both of you if you do it right.
There are two important things to consider: Go slow, and lube. Lots and lots of lube. So long as you are careful, and insert slowly, it's relatively safe. Never use force to penetrate.
A lot of women find it painful, but it's very unlikely you can do her any lasting harm. It is possible to cause tears inside the rectum, but that takes some force. Remember to just go slow and let her know that she only has to say so if she wants you to stop.
Always use a condom. And never go for vaginal sex straight after anal without washing first, as you can give her an infection.
Good luck!

Please do not find this insulting, but if you had had many partners then I would suggest if you are going to ingage in this activity you use a condom. Anal sex as much as some may find it pleasurable is very risky. Fist the anus carries e-coli from the stool that may be in the rectum, also the rectum has many blood vessels that if a person has a STD it would be very easily and most likely transmitted. So what-ever you and your partner enjoy Safety should always be first.......Good Luck...I guess/.....

I am a woman, probably a lot older than your partners.
I've tried anal intercourse. It didn't cause any permanent damage,
but it did hurt a lot and I bled a lot afterwards from a tear that needed some stiches. (That was a very embarrassing ER
visit.) Some women enjoy intercouse, but as far as I see it, they
must be into pain.

If you are really worried about not causing anybody any harm, you shouldn't be having sex with anyone but your wife. If you aren't married, then that's right, you shouldn't be having sex.
This is the most honest answer you are going to get for this question, even though I'm sure you don't like it.

Your partner can get anal lacerations. Besides, the anus was not made for sex. Why should you be a part of this perversion of your partner? Think, man!

The Anal passage is not designed for sex. It is bad enough down there when I get occasional burning diarrhea. It hurts like buggery (pardon the pun). DON"T GO THERE.
