Your right in saying that the quality generally is not as good as MP3 (most people though can barely tell the difference to be honest), but WMA has another HUGE drawback - most media devices and MP3 players can not play them.

Honestly if you really want to have your music, keep them as MP3 files. That way you ensure that your next computer, iPod, mp3 player and stereo can play your music, and you are not left re converting again loosing more sound quality in the process.

I'm not even sure WHY you'd want to convert them to WMA, but you can do that right in Windows Media Player.
