True story- Author's first name may be Jack? Takes place in mountain area maybe. Girl was buried not far from house where she was taken. When body found still had red shirt and braces intact. Guy was local bodybuilder always in trouble with mean streak. He is married and wife denies he could have done it. Mother fights for justice and proof. Father can't handle and kills himself. Brother stays with mom. Mom has to move place to place due to father's lack of employment. Book has pictures from the trial in it and pictures of the mom and dad and little girl before she was murdered. She was walking along road to home after school. I can't remember the title of the book and really need to know.
