um, this is more math but

V = (4/3)(pi)(r^3)
V = (4/3)(3.14)(1.00 x 10-3 m)^3
V = 4.19(1.00 x 10-9)
V = 4.19 x 10-9 L

The volume of a sphere is
V = 4/3 * pi * r^3

plug 0.01 cm in for r

V = 4.1888 cm^3

volume of a sphere = 4/3 x pi x r^3

scientific notation:

0.001 = 1.0 x 10^-2 exponent = number of zeros after the decimal
0.01 = 1.0 x 10 ^-1

10 = 1.0 x 10^1 exponent = number of zeros before the decimal
100 = 1.0 x 10^2
