If you multiplied the numerator and denominator of 1/2 by the same factor to get a fraction with the same denominator as 5/8 (to keep the fraction equal), then 1/2 would become 4/8 and since 5>4, then 5/8 > 4/8 which means 5/8 > 1/2

if you know that 4/8 and 1/2 are the same, then if 5/8 is bigger than 4/8, its bigger than 1/2 too

5/8 dude...is your maths really that bad?? if you convert the denominator of the 1/2 into 8, you will get 4/8...Are you kidding me or are you some kind of primary school kid??
