How to make eyes stand out, perhaps smaller?

Ok,
I admit, I think my eyes look HUGE! lol I'd like for them to appear a little smaller, but to still stand out without making me look goth or trashy. This is a pic of me: http://www.freewebs.com/boltdiva/me.jpg (don't mind the kissy face, I just take weird pics. lol). What's a good way to make my eyes stand out and maybe make them look smaller?

You don't have huge eyes, who ever told you that-you should take it as a compliment. Anyways, to make your eyes look smaller you use a light color on the outside of your eyelids, then make it go darker turned the "tear" part of your eye <> <------ the sharp corner closest to your nose. Or you can use black eye liner, a very fine line on your upper and lower lids. I would think with eyes like yours, you would want to have them more open, thats what I would want. You want welcoming eyes, that helps conversation.

OK try putting foundation over Ur eye and then apply a lite& little bron eyeliner to the top and mascara to the top and bottom and the nite before put a rag with cold ater on ur eyes

Take a brown eye liner and trace the top of your eyes and the corners (the part closest to your nose) use darker shades (brown, dark brown, purple, blue, or maybe grey) near the insie corners and lighter colors (sparkly light brown, voilet, baby blue...) closer to the utside of your eyes and make sure to blend. DO NOT curl your eye lashes or use exteremely bright shades ALL over your eyes that will only make them bigger looking.

and to make blue eyes stand out, use purple and brown earthy shapes, maybe even a little dark brownish green, but dont go crazy with colors. dont use blues they make blue eyes look dull.
NEVER use white eye liner, they will make your big eyes look VERY odd.

also try using some bronzerish blush (not to much it'll make you look orange) and pink to nude lip gloss or lip stick.

I love all the answers, everyone had so many good things to say and I totally agree..you really do have great eyes but I guess the grass really is always greener because I think my eyes are too small and everyone always tells me they are lovely. Whatever...
So anyway, my favorite advice lately about stuff like this is to go to makeoversolutions.com. For free you can upload your photo (the one you showed us would be perfect because your face is forward, it has great resolution and is large. Anyway, upload your photo and go to the makeover freebie part. Once you are in there, it will look like you can only try on four celebrity hairstyles but if you look closer, there are tabs you can click on ("hairstyles", "color" "accessories" etc...) and one of them is makeup! Be careful at the part after you have uploaded your photo because they will ask you to do your eyeliner (you'll see what i mean when you try it, not really eyeliner but anyway you'll see) and also to outline your mouth. I say to be careful because later when you are clicking on different eyeliner colors and eyeshadows and stuff, it will look good if you did the outlining right in the very beginning...or it will look goofy because you outlined wrong.
Anyway, the cool thing is that on the bottom of the page, they will show you 3 styles of applying your makeup and when you click on each it changes the way your makeup looks on your photo. When I did this I clicked on one just to be funny and it turned out to be the exact thing I have been try ing to to for years to make my eyes look bigger!
Lastly, you can submit your photo to the "gallery" and tell others that you would like their opinion on your makeover and they will tell you if they like it or not or what they think you could do to make it look better. Of course you can pay $15 if you want to have full access to the site. I totally loved doing it tho, I uploaded all of my sisters and did them too and emailed them the results. One of my sisters will be changing her hairstyle because of what we came up with!

i dont think you're eyes are big you just need to wear some make up to bring out your features. and if you want ur eyes to be smaller, then you dont want them to stand out but to make them stand out apply a dark mascara and eyeliner and some eyeshadow...i would suggest going to nordstraoms or sephora and having a professional beautician doing your makeup for you and help show you how to do your eyes and find the perfect eye make up for you!

you can use light colors of eyeliner like pink or light blue... and big eyes are usually a not a bad thing! another thing you could do is put eyeliner all the way around your eye close it, that way it won't look open

i think u have buatifual eyes but just weat natural colors (eye shadow) w/ lil bit of black eye liner dont put light colors b/c they make ur eyes look biger

to bring out your eyes its sometime good to put black eye liner... and lots of mascara
