1) Your address at the top as it looks on your resume.
2) The recipients address left justified.
3) Find out the name of the specific person who will review your resume, if you can. Include it in the address and in the "Dear So-and-so" section. Don't forget formal titles like "Dr.".
4) First paragraph should state the job you are applying for and how you heard of it, if it is not simply through an add. Give a very brief eye catching statement about your skills.
5) Second/Third paragraphs should provide detail on the skills you listed.
6) Last paragraph should recap why you would make a good employee for the specific position for which you are applying.
7) Closer (ex: Sincerely, ...)
8) At the bottom, the word "Enclosures" if it is attached to your resume.
9) The entire thing MUST fit on one page, be a reasonable font (usually Times New Roman/12 point), and single spaced.
And, of course, there are many examples on the internet as already mentioned.
Good luck!

You can go to about.com, or google "resume cover letters". You can find some really good cover letters. Another good place is the library. Some of the letters are a little corky, but corky works.
p.s. I once put "pick me, I am your best candidate." on my email subject line. I got a call back the next day. Spice yourself up a little, and make it sound fun, upbeat, and professional.
Good luck.

I assume you mean a cover letter. The internet is full of sample cover letters. Find one you like and customize it each time you submit a resume.

Pinpoint for the hire not results, which are ambiguous and conspicious. You will get hired. Tyoe basic info which you can dispend without letting go, and enough as to be a nag within, being contencious and fierce, not courteous, if you get the meaning. Do not insult their intelects with money issues on paper, not wise at all. Bye baby.
