Lisa Layne's the voice, but the group is known as Vince Vance and the Valiants. The song isn't really that old (mid 80's, I believe). You can find it on amazon.com by searching for Vince Vance and the Valiants. It's a wonderful song.

Also, the Mariah Carey version you speak of is not a cover of the Valiants' tune.

Its not 50's but it sounds like it is. It was released in the early 90's and is by a Texas group called Vince Vance & The Valiants. I bought the cd and the rest of the songs don't sound anything like that one great song. I love it! Look on cduniverse.com or amazon.com and you can buy the cd, or if you prefer you can download the song from Limewire. Good Luck!

I didn't know there was a 1950's version of that song. I thought Mariah Carey was the only singer to sing "All I Want for Christmas Is You".
