I have some questions:

What virus scan do you currently use?
What Firewall Service is running?

Is Yahoo mail signed on from online or from outlook?
Have you changed your security questions and password for your email?

Did you ask your friend to see where the IP orginated from?

Do you have a spyware/malware scanner?

Do you have remote assistance avalible? Have you tried to disable remote assistance?

I am thinking that something might have been installed on your computer. It could be a key logger. Everything you typed is being monitored. If you do any online stuff I would recomend that you download some proper scanners and scan your PC and everything that you do online immediatley change all your passwords and security question:

If you sign in from online then I would recomend that you change your password and security questions.

Here is some spyware/malware scanner: http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/

here is a firewall: http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp?dc=12bms&ctry=US&lang=en&lid=nav_za&AID=9754927&PID=1320436

You might need to disable system restore if you do not want anything to copy itself in backup.

If you have a hacker that is in your Yahoo Address book or email, they may not be getting into your computer, but may have guessed your Yahoo! password. I would start by running an anti-virus program on your computer to insure that you don't have any software running which captures your keystrokes.

Then, I would change the password on your accounts on the computer. If hackers were on your computer, they may have gotten the password.

Next, change the password, along with your secret questions on your Yahoo! account. If they are sending email from your account, it may be that they have obtained your password and are using your account for their own nefarious purposes.

If you keep the same password for other accounts on the Internet, you might wish to change these as well.
changing your password and secret questions to something someone else is unlikely to guess.

You might want to get a firewall first of all to stop the intrusions. Also, you should disconnect your computer from the internet to stop them from connecting to your computer. Also, you might try changing your password to your yahoo email account and any other services you might think are compromised. See the link below. Hope that helps.
