It's because you would like the world to be honest, trusting and trustworthy and the fact that it does not actually rise to your standards gets on your nerves. Try to be more tolerant and understanding, as Jesus teaches us.

This may be because the slightest sign of defensiveness angers you. This may be because it reminds you of your own vulnerability and, of course, nobody likes to be vulnerable. It could also be because that you feel that these people are locking you out of their lives or that these people are antisocial in some other way, you may have an ideology of a peaceful, co-operative neighbourhood. Also, it may be that you are curious, perhaps fearful, of what that house contains or what is behind that locked door.

You're probably reminded of all your other limitations. When you come upon a locked door, it brings home in terribly real fashion that we can't always do and/or be what we want. It's a reality check, like, "Oh, you mean I'm not omnipotent?" I don't mean to be insulting. That's how it feels sometimes for me.

It is not like it was when I was young. No one locked there doors. Everyone was welcome in each others homes. All you had to do was knock and open the door when they said come in.You don't dare leave your door unlocked now a day if you value your life with all of the crime. Not even in the country.
