I did like the book "Stargirl." I liked the ending of it and the growth of the main character as he related to Stargirl.

I'm an adult, and I liked it when I read it a few years ago. It earned a spot on my bookshelf because it made me think about what it meant to be human and how often we fail to connect with those around us. How it's more important to be a person than to be perfect. I didn't buy all of the book and I won't recommend it to my kids until high school, but it moved me and I think it's a great book.

I hated it and so did many of the 7th and 8th graders at our school. We used it as a homeroom reading and discussion book, and many of the kids in both grades complained about it. There were a few gifted kids who liked it, but most of the reactions were negative.

I liked Jerry Spinelli's Maniac Magee much better!
