Its possible, and its rare! Its happened before in the history of the universe. Its not visible to us and no one knows where the two universes come together in perfect aligbment. Perhaps that's how the aliens enter our universe. What do you think?

Depends on whose theories you listen to.

David Deustch states that every time a quantum possibility exists a new universe fragments off of it. I think that's probably a bit too much.

Stephen Hawking doesn't believe that Parallel universe's exist and if they do we can never know what happens in them.

I subscribe to the M-Theory derived answer that other universes are on the far side of a p-brane barrier and are unaccesable without hugely vast amounts of energy - more than is produced by the entire milky way galaxy.

Even Einstein (via the concept of an Einsten-Rosen bridge) postulated that they may exist but by tunneling through this alternate universe you are never actually IN it.

So, No, they do not "align" nor do they come together in modern physics. Perhaps metaphysics would provide a better answer to you, especially if you are looking for aliens.

I really don't know if that's the case but I do know that it is almost impossible to cross if there is a parallel universe to our own. I don't have a concrete answer but consider the my arguementative question:

How would you cross over when your own rational thinking is defined and predefined to the bounded realities of the universe your on?

If a parallel universe could exist it would be completely irrelevant to us.
Beyond the confines of this universe nothing can exist.
A parallel universe could not exist simply because it could not be separated from us!

rofl. i like aliens. they will suck your creative brain outta the shell. kinda depends on the imagination of the formation of the universe. do you have your phd in cosmic science? lol. surely interesting to hear that we are moving on a flat piece of space.. makes me think.. lol. one think. when it comes and we can do nothing about it (be sure that you wont stop that) it will be a fraction of a second fireworks show. probably more engaging than launching a billion fat *** nuclear warheads. woot. would like to live to that day. piece to the substance of the universe

There is no such thing as a parallel or alternate universe. The universe is the totality of existence. Anything that exists is the universe. What you are speaking of is other dimensions, not universes.

I found that stamping my left foot 3 times and then spinning quickly clockwise for 3 turns, helps. It blurs the boundaries between the universes and makes it easier to cross.
Good luck.

I am certain it is possible to cross over, regardless.

This is highly speculative, supported by no evidence of any sort, hence unanswerable.
