Yeah, b/c it could be the wrong type of cure for the disease and then it will make everything worse.

Believe me I'll be wondering that for the rest of my life...my 11 year old went through 8 weeks of chemo...it's still so surreal...not only will I worry about IF it will come back, but also is he sterile now, will they cause a secondary cancer down the road, what other damage has it done long term...when I see some of the silly stuff people sweat over I think if they only knew...life teaches you a lot of things...and not all of it is good...but the hardest lesson I think is acceptance of knowing that you can never know it all.
And I guess my answer to this one has to be no, bad as it is it was the only choice.

But what if the disease put you through a lot of pain? Or made you cough up blood? (tuberculosis) Wouldn't YOU want the cure rather than dying?

Take Aids for instance.... AIDS can kill you...
but the search for the cure will take many generations to pass away before you finally get it.
