It's a word like any other. In this day and age, a person can be offended if you say ' Merry Christmas ' to them.
I've been on construction sites. Very multi cultural. I'm been called honky, gringo, and a bunch of other things I can't pronounce, let alone spell. But the intention was not to offend me. It was just guy banter. no problem.
It's all a matter of who can hear it. If it one of these childish, thin-skinned, whiny, " politically correct ", bull horns, then don't say anything to them at all. Just nod, smile, and walk away.

That someone saying hanging from the tree made you angry because it suggested you were subhuman and yet n*gger doesn't ....shout it to you in as plain of a term that exists in language today. Do you realize that when white folks who REALLY know how to use this word get together they don't care how you spell it? Some of them figure, if they can apply this word to you, your not expected to be able to spell it anyway...its not like they consider you human. So many good people stood strong, bled, died so that you, their grandchildren, could stand up proud and fight tooth and nail to hang on to an opportunity to remain n*ggers. Tell me again why we fought for you?

I don't think so. Anything that is offensive to anyone should not be used. There will always be those who will use it to demean. If these people were actually educated, they would know that a ****** can be a person of any color. N..... is a dumb stupid, lazy, etc. person. It can be used in an endearing way towards blacks but, when we know that it has a potential to harm someone, why use it to begin with. God is not the author of confusion. We know where that comes from. May GOd Bless

Th eword is used mainly by blacks. black intertainers like red fox used it to make thousands if not million sin his comedy routines.
He was very racist towards whites when in an all black audience.yet he used the world to describe blacks when he was in a mixed or nearly all white audience.
The word black now use dfor "colored folks was originally used to describe a woiman in ireland wiht black hair(they are still called that.) and ****** briown described a color of shoes for many centuries before anyone there ever knew blacks existed.
It's mainly media hosing us all over with their rhetic.
TYhousand sof people named gay have now changed their names and I would also if I was named gay . Just for the trouble it would cause your children at school if nothing else.
I could neve rfigure our cuss words either.
Little annies ***; tell ; butt; behind; rear end''hiop ect . all mean the same thing sowho come up with the idea tha tone of the were dirty:):). I think it was preachers in their zeal to convert us had to have a calling and cursing or cuss words hav elong been a favorite choice of burning in hell rhetic for preachers.
Great britian now allows children to say the "F" word in school 5 times a dya:):) if you can beelive that.
They are edgeing towards the day (and it will happen) when there are no cuss words, or restricted words.

Why use a word that you know intentionally hurts someone else.Treat others the way you want to be treated. Doing so would solve a lot of problems.

I think say whatever you want.
Sticks and stones may break my bones..
But whips and chains excite me.
So drop your drawers and say my name
Show me that you like me. ;-)
That's my philosophy. Call me a cracker, slander me after my background ALL you want. They're WORDS. People need to get over it and MOVE ON. nowadays there is SO much respect for the African American community that we practically WORSHIP it. So I think you have officially been compensated for a LOT. ;-)

i think that there are appropriate times to use it just like any slang word. for people without discretion, it should be removed from their vocabulary.
