It can mean "Bring your own beer/booze" in most cases but in the System of a Down song, it means "Bring your own bombs."

The song was supposed to mean "Bring your own bombs" since System of a down sort of write songs about Politics and the war, kind of like Rage Against the Machine.

I was never really sure on it either. It means things like Bring Your Own Beer, ect. But I'm not sure what the band intended (assuming you're talking about System of a Down's song).
