I think I was right, but sometimes being isn't what's important.

If you were wrong apologize.
If you were right let it go.
If you did not mean it, apologize.
If you did, let it go.
If it was a misunderstanding, talk it out.
Do not let things fester. If you really like this person and meant what you said, let it go, it will all work out in the end. If you do not like this person, who cares? If you were so totally wrong, then you should apologize and decide from there if you want to go any further with the subject.

If you are both wrong and right, discuss why it is imporatant to you or why you think that you are right and go from there. Remember that Christmas is coming up soon, don't let there be a black cloud hanging over you or a friend.

Apologize

Forcing to fix things sometimes just makes things worse. I think time does fix things, and if YOU were right then sooner or later they're going to realize it and say sorry to you. Walking away from the situation just lets you and the other person ease things and it allows both of you to think things over, I think you guys should talk when both of you guys have contemplated and had time to let things sink in. If time doesn't make you or that person reconsider what has happened then it should take the the bigger person to apologize for what has happened.

No get a backbone. Sometimes apologizing makes the other person feel "above" the one who's apologizing.

Try to apologize and make things better

IT'S ALWAYS N NICE GESTURE TO APOLOGIZE. YOU CAN'T GUARANTEE THAT THEY WILL LISTEN TO YOU OR BELIEVE YOU, BUT AT LEAST YOU PUT IT OUT THERE AS A MEANS OF MAKING PEACE OF THE SITUATION.

EVEN IF YOU DON'T RECEIVE FORGIVENESS, AS LEAST YOU CAN LEAVE THE SITUATION WITH A CLEAR CONSCIENCE THAT YOU DID THE RIGHT THING BY REALIZING THAT YOU MADE A MISTAKE AND APOLOGIZING FOR THAT MISTAKE.

I DN'T KNOW WHAT YOU DID, AND I DON'T NEED TO KNWO. JUST DON'T BEAT YOURSELF UP OVER IT. YOU SHOULD TRY TO RESOLVE THE MATTER, AND THAT'S ALL THAT COUNTS.

GOOD LUCK.

Depends on the situation, if you really owe an apology, give it. If not, let it go.

Apologize, then let it go. The ball will be in their court then.
