no they can be manipulated.
One cellphone company I know has the fewest dropped calls. yes they mapped out the places in the US the auditors could test the system. and that was a sure fix

It depends on the source and the use of them, and if the means to obtain the statistics were conducted as objectively as possible.

But usually not.

That really depends on how large the sample is and if the poll takers have any agenda. How the questions are asked can also influence the data. Data can be manipulated in many ways.

I never look at the statistics, I judge by myself with 'em.
