And this isn't a political thing. There have been bad R & D judges.
What is up with this and what can we do????
I have three young children, and this is sickening to me!

Once a person is convicted of crimes against children, the sentences should be mandatory with all leeway taken from the judiciary. Any judge who is in an elected position who is soft on these criminals can have their stance used against their next campaign, out with them.

There are so many perverts in the judicial branch. as well as medical.
Our former juvenile court judge it was discoverd had boxes of porn, and child porn under his house he subscribed for,
One of our former Juvenile judges was the biggers cocaine user in the county. Now he's moved up in the world to a higher appointed judicial office.
I think it's basically our fault for not checking these guys closer, and not testing the regular for drugs. I think we allow them to run over us when we could remove them from office with the vote,
Lawyers make laws for their benefit and they protect their own. and we allow it.
YOU are right it's sad and scary.
But politicians have gotten to the point of such loose control by the voters that they feel they have a mandate to ignore us.

I think the child's parents should get to choose whatever punishment they feel is suitable for the horrible crime that was committed
