I have been trying to answer this problem for a few weeks now...please help!!!!

In tomatoes, red (R) is dominant to yellow (r), tall (D) is dominant to dwarf (d), and smooth (H) is dominant to peach or hairy (h).
a. How many different gneotypes are there in relationship to these 3 characterisitcs?
b. How many different phenotypes are there in relationship to these 3 characterisitcs?
c. How many different homozygous pure-breeding forms can be produced?

Its a group assignment and my group and I are lost!! We have asked our instructor many times, and we still don't understand it!!! If you can give me a clue...PLEASE HELP!

a. There are 18 different genotypes possible,
b. There are 8 phenotypes possible.
c. If self pollinated each of the 8 phenotypes could be produced in the homozygous pure breeding form.
1. red-tall-smooth 2, red-tall-hairy 3.yellow-tall-smooth
4. yellow-tall-hairy 5. red-dwarf-smooth 6. red-dwarf-hairy 7. yellow-dwarf-smooth 8. yellow-dwarf-hairy

to answer this question you need to draw a puntet square,,, i wont answer the question but i'll help you get started
gneotype is the gentic make up of the substance
phenotypes is the phsycial make up of a substance

rrDDHh RrDDHh-its phenotype would be red, tall and smooth but it still carries the genotype for yellow and peach/hairness meanin this trait may come up again physically (phenotype) if crossed with a ressive tomato
