The Chargers... not only best team in AFC but best team right now in NFL. COlts look oddly weak right now and even if they were their machine selves on offense, thats all they are a offense.... i dont think ANY team in NFL has as many players (playmakers) on BOTH sides of the ball as San Diego.. they can score with anyone and their defense is freightening.

The Chargers. They have a rush defense. The Colts do not.
Chargers went 4-0 without Shawne Merriman, their best defensive player.
Colts have Peyton Manning but the Chargers have LT. And if they played each other in the playoffs, I think it'd be a close game but LT would win it for the Chargers.

The Colts. Yes they have a terrible defense but they're offense is just great. They're not falling apart because they lost to TEN from a 60-YARD-FG. They put up 34 points against the DEN defense in DEN's 7th game and in their first 6 games DEN gave up 44 points combined.
The Colts games left: JAC, CIN, HOU, & MIA
The Chargers games left: DEN, KC, SEA, & ARI
So if they play each other in the AFC champion game, it'll probably be in IND, where IND is 6-0 this season.

I am more afraid of the Chargers than the Colts right now. All of the Chargers' ducks seem to be falling in a row, but the Colts seem to be showing signs of ineptitude. The Chargers' defense seems more formidable than the Colts and their offense has been more spectacular of late. It would be one tremendous game to watch. But I think the Chargers would win it right now

The Chargers have the most COMPLETE team. The Colts are looking rather shaky as of late.

Both teams are 10-2.
Colts have 325 points for and 251 points against. Differential: 74.
Chargers have 377 points for and 237 points against. Differential: 140.
Using this objective measure, I'd say Chargers are better. Statistically, it may be a toss up. A head-to-head game will clear things up.
