did you move away from home to go to college? The stress of the lifestyle change can throw you off course emotionally. Do you feel a lot of pressure to succeed in school? Have you made many friends?
Give youself some stability in your life by establishing some routines. For example, have a morning routine, bedtime routine, people you eat lunch with, a certain time you exercise, meditation, have set times you do things. Do your best--it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, as long as you are happy in the end.

Not getting rested sleep affects us in so many ways. If you're emotionally stressed, you should honestly speak to someone, does not necessarily have to be a doctor. Evening Primrose oil (herbal) is super super good for mood swings. Also, it's not totally uncommon to have these emotions at your age, especially feeling alone. Do you have a good relationship with your mom, because she would be the best person to speak to. Exercise is also a fabulous stress buster and great for those sleepless nights. Pleeeeese speak to someone - it's very important and you're not alone. I have been there, and I know that there are a lot of people who really do care about you. All you need to do is confide in someone. Please take care ... life is beautiful

No, it can't. Have you ever donated blood? Do they have a space on the form for "Are you in a bad mood today?" No...you know why? Because bad moods are *not* in the blood. Milk is made from blood. If it's not in the blood, it's not getting into your milk. End of story. However, you *can* transmit stress or bad moods face to face regardless of whether you are nursing or not. If your baby seems to be in a bad mood when you are, it's probably because she/he *sees* you in a bad mood. In fact, the hormones released when you start nursing actually *lower* stress. So, if you *are* in a bad mood, you and your baby are both better off nursing. You'll calm down somewhat, your baby will get some of the hormones from your milk and calm down, and she/he will see you calmer and not have as much of a reaction. Lastly, the *vast* majority of babies will *not* be affected by what the mother eats. Allergies are relatively rare, and it is even rare for a baby to react to something that the mother eats than something she/he eats directly.

Have enough sleep. Listen to music, go for a walk at the park or beach, take a breathing exercise that will really helps your mind to carm down. A body only can consume certain level of stress and don't exceed yourself, it will make your life misserable why do you think some people attempt sucide, it's all the level of stress they can't cope.. Take it easy and relax your mind, do a meditation for 10 to 15 minutes by closing your eyes visualise you are walking towards the park, listening to birds singing ,breezy wind, the greenary nature do that you needs alot of energy to be store, greenaries and animals has alots of energy than human... do it.

I am having the same problem, although it's due to birth control side effects. You might want to try taking a multivitamin. I've also heard that apple cider vinegar helps with mood swings too. And as long as you aren't on birth control, St. John's Wart is good for depression.

A lot of people get seasonal depression during the holidays..if it just started it could be that..It could be the stress of school, finals coming up...Not sleeping is a big stressor..it will depress you more than anything..You have to sleep at least6-8 nightly or you will stay depressed and not be able to do good in school. Eat right, SLEEP, study but not to the point to where you want to pull your hair..take frequent breaks...if you study too much at one time..you are not going to remember anything you studied. School and the holidays are almost over and then you should feel much better...GL

I'm wondering if you might be clinically depressed or bi-polar. Often times, the stress of college triggers mental illnesses. Pls see a psychiatrist for a diagnosis & proper medication and go to a psychologist or caseworker (msw) for talk treatment. Good luck to you. Be sure to go for help.

i've also been having emotional stress. my advice is... wait, i actually don't have any because if i did, i wouldn't be in this mess. i'd say distance yourself from the source, assuming that is possible, which is unlikely.

i guess just ride it out, it will go away, sorry i can't think of a way to make it go away for good. good friends & boyfriend may do it for you, idk.
