NO. Unemployment law states, you are eligible for unemployment if you loose your job at no fault of your own

You can only quit and receive unemployment benefits if your workplace is considered unfit by your local unemployment board.

If you are subject to abuse or harrassment and you can successfully convince the unemployment board that your workplace has this type of unfit working conditions you may quit your job and still receive benefits.

It's a few hoops to jump through though. Speak with a representative at your unemployment board to be absolutely sure. Do not talk to anyone else about it...if your employer knew it could mean trouble for you. So if you down this route, keep your intentions under your hat until you have the answers you are seeking.

There has to be a legitimate reason for quitting, some reason why you can no longer do the job as required...Pretty much you can only get unemployment benefits if you are fired, and then it has to be under certain circumstances, like you position being eliminated or you got fired for something that isn't in a handbook or whatnot...

My Daughter quit her job because she was treated unfairly by the manager..She signed up for unemployment but was denied because she did not have a good enough reason for quiting her job...She could have appealed and probably won ..but she didn't want the hassle of going to court and hiring an attorney,,,,,

Only if you had a very good reason for doing so (Horrid working conditions, physical and/or verbal abuse from your employer, pay not worth the cost of the drive, job requirements beyond what you are capable of). If you just say something like you didn't like your boss and/or what you had to do, then the answer is no!

yes you can if you have a pretty good reason and you have atleast been ther for 6 months. You go down to your local workforce office and file the papers and you should start recieving unemployment checks.
