I'm not a New Yorker, but I may be moving to the city area due to job changes.

I might be moving to White Plains instead of Manhattan though. My question is this: I'm interested in juggling several attractive, hip, cultured young NYC women through my nights, and I'd like to know whether living outside "The City" will render me geographically undesirable.

How far away is considered within the realm of not being geographically undesirable, or will not interfere with my interest?

EDIT: The jobs in question are in Westchester, so for me it's really between Westchester, Bronx, or Manhattan (Brooklyn would be pushing it in my estimation).

Anywhere in the city other than Staten Island is desirable. If you really want to be closer to downtown Manhatthan you should consider Hoboken. It's technically New Jersey, but its closer and more New York than Staten Island. It's only a few minutes away, you can take the NJ PATH.

It used to be that people complained if you lived outside of Manhattan. I've had friends that didn't want to step foot into Brooklyn even though it was actually a shorter trip than to some areas of Manhattan. It's a lot more acceptable to live in Brooklyn and Queens these days because Manhattan has gotten too expensive. The Bronx is a little too far away for me and Staten Island may as well be on another planet. If someone lived in NJ or Westchester Co. I wouldn't be happy about it at all and I'd not want to go there that often. Most people are not going to want to go home with you if you live anywhere outside the city. You'll most likely have to go home with them.

well if your planning on juggling women i think it would be best to get an apartment in manhattan or in brooklyn, outside of there it starts to become a bit inconvienent.

I think it'll behoove you to not live within NYC simply because it'll make it easier to juggle these gals...think about it...it'll decrease your chances of running into them.
