The President of Italy is just Head of State has no political power.

The title of Italy's head of government is referred to in Italian as the Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri. Literally translated this means "President of the Council of Ministers".

Since May 17, 2006, Romano Prodi has served as Prime Minister of Italy following the narrow victory of his l'Unione coalition over the Casa delle Libertà led by Silvio Berlusconi in the April 2006 Italian elections.

In 1935 the fascist leader Benito Mussolini, attacked Abyssinia (now Ethiopia) using modern weapons against sometimes spear wielding locals.

They made substantial use of mustard gas, in both artillery and aerial bombardments. In total, the Italians deployed between 300 and 500 tonnes of mustard gas during the war, despite having signed the 1925 Geneva Protocol. The deployment of gas was not restricted to the battlefield, however, as civilians were also targeted by the Italians, as part of their attempt to terrorise the local population. Furthermore, the Italians carried out gas attacks on Red Cross camps and ambulances.

Benito Mussolini them went on to fight with Franco in the Spanish Civil War and Hitler in the Second World War.

Being a world power is a positive.

You have some control over your destiny.

Is a negative,

You have to get invoved to stop dangerous situations from getting worse.

There is no way of telling if action you take is the best thing in a bad situation, or a mistake.

Rather than be an anti..... try to see why world leaders and powers are taking the actions they do.

They are not as stupid, as most of the things said about them are.
