No, Amanda is not a unique name! Take it from my experience! My name is Amanda and all through school, there's at least one other person who had my name in my class. You'd be walking down the halls and someone would say Amanda and at least 4 girls would turn to look. I'm not saying it's a bad name, it's just common. But it's like my mom says, I didn't name you Amanda, I named you Amanda Rose...if you like the name though, that's all that matters! The name has suited me just fine! Besides, it means Worthy Of Love....what could be better than that?

Not really. A variant on Amanda, like combining it with another name, may make it more unique.

How about Amandriana? I just came up with that one. Or Mandria? That one was off the top of my head.

Of course, Amanda is pretty.

No. Think of all the Amandas you went to high school with.

There just aren't many famous Amandas. I don't know why, though. There are so many Jennifers.

No.

Even though it is getting less popular, that doesn't make it 'unique'.

The only way a name can truly be called 'unique' is if NO ONE has ever been named that.

If you mean 'different' or 'uncommon' then the answer is still no. So many women have (and have had) it that it's overused.
