Just a minute ago, in the 'Best Answers' section where they show the best of the best answers, there was a question posted by Hillary Clinton. The person who answered was very polite and proper, putting their reply into letter format and using correct language and spelling.
Now what I would like to know is how come Hillary Clinton can post a question and everybody is so polite but I (and many others) will get rude, explicit answers.
I guess I just wanted to vent, really, but now you can tell me your thoughts on this because I really would like to know!

My dearest Anna Lynn,
It is with great sadness that I read your question and start to think how I should address the thing that pains you today.
After carefully thinking about how I would go about this, i have concluded to let you know that people aren't afraid of you and I, we are but mere mortals hon. Hillary Clinton isn't or they don't think she is on our level, hence they will always treat her with more respect than us.
It is a sad, sad fact of life, and it is also human nature to try and impress people in high places while not treating others that seem to be on your level with the same respect or reverence.
I say this to you: I know how you feel, I share your sentiments but I also know for a fact that it is unwise to feel frustrated about things like this and dwell on them, let the "chicken" go and enjoy your sessions on yahoo answers.
Regards,
Polichinela
P.S. There are still and will always be morons out there.

Personally, I wouldn't post any different to wonderful Hillary than I would anyone else and especially no better than any other crooked politician. Come on - you really think most of the answers to her question came from innocent - non paid volunteers who simply wanted to post? They are people who are paid as a part of her campaign to try to make her look good - Come on - this is politics on Answers - just because it's Answers doesn't mean it's not corrupt - even for someone as wonderful as Hillary!

I read some of the answers to her question -- some were pretty rude and stupid. The explicit ones I'm sure got yanked (in deference to the exalted asker). As far as a celebrity asking a question on Y!A goes, if you check their stats - they don't have any. A minus 5 points for asking the question, that's about it. If they actually even cared about their questions and the answers thereto, they would have had to log into this site more than once to check on their answers, especially if there's thousands of them. They'd get a few points that way, but I didn't even see any evidence of that on the ones I checked. It's a cheap publicity stunt.

Dear Miss Anna Lynn,
I believe that what you saw was the best of the answers. We do not know how many goofy and dumb answers that she got.
There are many different age groups on here at any given time and that shows in some of the answers (as well as some questions).
I hope this little response to your question brought a smile to your face!! Merry Christmas!!
Your Yahoo Answers Friend,
Chief Paduke

People tend to be a bit crude and "tough" behind the computer screen. You can say whatever you want, and you're safe from being seen for who you really are. In real life, you can't pull that.
When you're talking to someone in real life of importance, you tend to speak differently than you would to, say, your best friend, right? The same principle tends to apply on the internet.
"Oh no, if I talk like that to *insert celebrity name here* on the internet, I'll wreck my life! I'll have the entire world after me..."
If only people weren't so naive...eh?

i guess you and i and a whole bunch of others don't have the power and authority that Hilary Clinton has to get respect from the people who answer here. every one knows that they can't call H.C. names and get away with it, they don't even want to try. but with us, they know that they can get away, the only bad thing that can happen to them is get reported, and that's not a big deal.
