I'm 21 and it's the highlight of my year... i never rent or buy the movie. It has to be broadcast on TV. I let the television networks decide if it's going to be a good christmas or not. That movie makes or breaks the holidays - i hope it's on this year!

Damn you! How could you say "no"? That movie is what God himself watches on Christmas Eve! If my girlfriends starts gettin' freaky while that's on, i just up and say: "Hey baby! I'm sorry, but you just can't compete."

Oh, another tough one....

but first, yes, I love the Muppet Carol, too---Michael Caine makes a marvelous Scrooge, Gonzo as Dickens, a true hoot and a half---sweet, funny, good tunes by Paul Williams...Incidentally, does the tv showing include the song, "It Was Almost Love"? It was added to the film after the original theatrical release and it's a heartbreaker...Has this guy crying, gotta tell ya...

..but what about Mr Magoo's Christmas Carol, or the original animated Grinch, or Cary Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven in "The Bishop's Wife"?--or the original Miracle on 34th Street?, or even Laurel and Hardy in March of the Wooden Soldiers?,
or A Charlie Brown Christmas, even?

Let's rejoice in all the good holiday movies!

It's adorable. If you love it, also try Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas. It's a Jim Henson production, too, and it's so sweet and heartwarming...a variation on the Gift of the Magi story. It's on amazon.com for $9.99 if you are interested. So cute!

Wow, getting violent over a movie. My personal favorite would be the old Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, but we each have our own tastes...
