In this unipolar World UNO has lost its utility like a toothless Tiger.Mr.Kofi Annan proved to be a misfit for the post of Secretary General of this World body. But Countries in the World still need a platform to express their views on issues affecting the world. UN needs democratisation. The Veto power should be withdrawn or more Countries should have this Power. For instance there is no veto power for Countries in African and South American Continents, whereas Three out of Five Veto powers are from Europe. India, second largest populated Country and a big functioning democracy has the same Powers as that of small states like San Marino with population 30,000.

As long as some developed countries having veto power, UNO can not be a representative of comity of nations. As long as its financial dependence mostly on one country continues it can not act independently. It need total reorientation.
