269.00 - 53.80 = 215.20
215.20 x .07 = 15.064
215.20 + 15.06 = $230.26

It is a trick question. It says "You buy a DVD Player for $269." That is the final price after the discount and the tax.

to calculator how much % is off : 20 divide by a hundred and then times 269.The result will give you how much you bought the dvd player after the 20% discount (A)..Then make 7 divide by a 100 and then times it by the answer (A) and then u'll get the final answer...Its very easy man and it just depends on how to change a % to a natural number...
