It is highly unlikely, but if he never went back and got tested it is possible. Buy yourslef a test and see what it says. Or tell him to go for that follow up visit he never made to see if he still has swimmers. You could be going through early menopause. A cousin of mine is not even 30 yet and she is. I think you need to go to the doctor and just let them know that you haven't had a period in two months and you wanted to know what the problem is.

It's rare for them to fail, but it is possible. Check out the attached website. Usually it happens within the first year, but I guess it can happen. I would get a prenancy test to calm your fears, but after 8 years, I would think it's something else.
Either way, I'd make an appointment with your GYN to make sure there isn't something else going on. Good luck.

The human body has amazing recuperative powers.
I have a cousin who was conceived after her dad's vasectomy -- it turns out the vasectomy was "botched".
If he didn't go for the follow-ups, it's possible his sperm count never actually went to 0. (YES, it's possible to not conceive for 8 years with a fertile -- or semi-fertile -- couple).
I'd go to the dollar store and pick up a test, just for your peace of mind. (All the dollar stores carry them for $1.00, which is far cheaper than the drug store version.)

Well my best friend`s aunt and uncle almost got a divorce over that. He had vasectomy when they first started doing them. Twelve years later she became pregnant. It really got ugly until he went and was tested and found out he had swimmers. They both were in their forties.

It is possible and it's not after the first year either. My dad had a vasectomy in his first marriage 3 years later he married my mom and they had me. So it's completely possible.

It is so very unlikely that you could be pregnant. You may want to go ahead and get a test from the dollar store (they are just as reliable as the expensive ones www.peeonastick.com) and test so you can put your mind at ease. Stress can delay your period.
