To all those saying "have sex", go away. She's serious, and 35 is something to be concerned about as we are told time and again that the door slams shut about that time.

Now then, to answer your question: If you have been having unprotected sex at least every other day for 6 months with no success, it's time to go see a fertility doc (reproductive endocrinologist). There are only a few states that have infertility treatment coverage as mandatory, so you may be looking at hefty out of pocket expenses by the time you are done.

The reason docs say that the door shuts at 35 is because the eggs are starting to deteriorate, thus making them less receptive to sperm. Hopefully if you go to a doc they will get aggressive at finding out why you haven't gotten pregnant so you don't have to wait any longer. If you have any questions, message me!

What have you been doing to try? Other then just having sex? Have you charted your cycles or anything? Not all women have a 28 day cycle so I've always highly recommended that you chart your cycles to figure out when you ovulate and then you will know when you have sex. You can also use your charts to help you figure out of you have any problems.

Charting isn't all that hard - once you know how. I would get the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and a basal temp thermometer and start from there. Also, http://www.ovusoft.com has some great software you can put your chart on and they have message boards/forums that help you use the charts and people there can help you interpret any questions you have.

I discovered that I don't ovulate every cycle - and some cycles I do, but just very late. I got pregnant on cycle day 61.. so that was 61 days after the 1st day of my period. If they based my daughters due date on the date of my last period, by the time she was born normally she would have been 2 months overdue..lol.. so thankfully I knew when I ovulated and the ultrasound proved I was right.

If you are doing all of this and still haven't conceived in 6mo-a year then I would definitely go to a doc and get you and your husband checked for any potential issues.

Good luck, don't give up hope, and try to relax.

If you're concerned about your age - don't be. 35 is nothing to be worried about!!! Heaps of people around the world are conceiving post-35 these days.

If you're on contraceptives - get off them asap, and go for a proper medical exam with your OB-GYN.

Once you get the "all clear" sign from your doctor, all you need to do next is to...unwind, relax and simply receive the LOVE.

Ideally, if you're 35, you should have health insurance. Talk to a doctor about fertility treatments if you are having trouble conceiving.

One way is to the hospital and have a check up and find out if everything is working in proper order. If everything try the natural way. If not medications or hormones given by your MD.

Sex, lots and lots of it. Morning and Night, every day until you're pregnant.. Take a day off every now and again if you want.

Tiring, but effective.
