I try, but it is too hard, even more so when you don't understand why things are happening the way they do.

Yes, and it pertains to hope.

"Hope is the feeling that you will succeed tomorrow in what you failed at today."

If you accept what happens and still remain optimistic, you will find acceptance in what happened. There is a bright side to every thing that happens in life. Once you find that bright side, you will find it is easier to accept what you didn't want to have happen.

"No one ever injured his eyesight by looking on the bright side of things."

I'm Buddhist. I'm not religious but the way of Buddha's thinking is quite good. Just try to concentrate of what you are doing at the moment. Everything is natural but it's human mind who says that "This is happy thing" or "this is bad thing". It's only mind.

i know what you mean. its hard to accept what happens sometimes, but i guess we have to. otherwise we'd be stuck in one place and would not know who to get on with our lives.
